Portraits

Here are a selection of some of my best Portrait drawings and paintings.

Ron Perlman

I was suggested Ron Perlman as the next face to draw by my partner, and so I thought I would give it a bash. This was only A4, and on some pretty poor quality paper, but I actually think it came out really well.

Sweet Old Lady

This has got to be one of my best Portraits so far I think. Done in Graphite on A3 Paper, I really took my time with this one, and I think I cracked it 🙂 This is it on the Drawing board, and also, the reference I used (taken from a photograph by Karsten Thormaehlen).

Joan Marsh

My late mother in law. Although I feel its a decent drawing, I’m not convinced I’ve captured her true likeness though.

The Young Marsh Family

So another family drawing. Struggled a little with the likeness, and it was a bit stressful knowing this was a request and not just me choosing something to draw. Overall pleased with the result, although its not perfect.

Welcome to James Hall Arts, my small space on the internet where I like to display my drawings and paintings that I have created since retiring from the Hussle and bustle of working for the Man.
